Various open source software (OSS) has been recently developed and the range of practical use has been extended in many companies, research institutes and universities. Our goal is to confirm recent trends of OSS engineering and recognize future development/application of OSS in engineering. Topics of this minisymposium include:
- open source solvers, such as FEM, FVM, particles method, etc.
- pre/post processors
- numerical examples of fluid analysis, structural analysis, electromagnetic analysis, etc.
- execution environments for supporting OSS users
- maintenance or management of OSS
