The aim of this mini-symposium is to report and discuss recent progress in computational mechanics for simulating implantable medical devices such as orthopedic and cardiovascular implants. The mini-symposium includes: a) new device designs based on auxetics and metamaterials; b) new modeling/simulation method/approach for devices; c) computational method with medical images and multiphysics.
